SAME THING IS HAPPENING TO ME!!!! I just bought the game and have never played it on steam before, so I don't have an appdata file for geometry dash since it has never properly opened. I have tried the save file gd fix, verifying integrity, reinstalling, setting compatibility to windows 7 and still NOTHING!But here's how I fixed it: find geometrydash.exe and right click > properties. select it to run in compatibility mode for a previous version of windows (e.g. Windows 98) run geometry dash. it should load, but with bad fps etc. restart pc. run gd in non-compatibility mode.
