As far as recoil, I don’t notice a difference between the 30sf and 36 because the kind of recoil.

On my Gen4, I've had two mag catches and springs replaced due to excessive wear of the catch and the notches in the mags. Mags would fall out upon firing the gun.The 30s was the 30sf frame with 36 slide. The 30sf had a slightly smaller grip size, front to rear, then the 30 to help folks with smaller hands, like me, but that was before the gen4 came out. I read somewhere that the 30 Gen4 had the sf frame. If that's correct then that would make the 30 Gen4 exactly the same pistol as the 30sf.
