Jun 8, 2022 · The Mat-Su Animal Shelter last held an event of this kind back in January, when shelters all over the nation participated in the Betty White Challenge after the beloved actor and lifetime advocate for animals passed away. Shelter manager Jamie Kennedy said the Mat-Su community rose to the occasion during that time and hopes they’ll do it again. The Animal Care and Regulation Board also hears appeals of the classification of animals classified as level 1, 2, 3, or 4 per Title 24. Per MSB 24.30.018 (C) and (D), regular board meetings are scheduled to immediately follow an appeal or scheduled as the Board otherwise sees fit. Animal Care and Regulation code is Title 24.
