If you're ever doing it in real life, turn it off and let it cool before adding more fuel. In game it's the same- You can't refuel a running generator.

Posted September 1, 2018. Me and some of my friends are having the same problem. Thought that it was the IWBUMS so we rolled back to the stable version, but the problem persists. Can only fill propane torches only if they have a little fuel left inside. Fix it soon please, we want to have metalworking to build stuff in and around the base!

Propane tanks now hold much more to compensate for the torch fix. I found dragging a tank along with me on metalworking jobs is helping.
