I'm gonna try to give a more objective analysis of Ao Bai. First off as of writing 2x Justice is the strongest Ao Bai build for general use. If you wanna do that go ahead, but it's poor long term advice because it's inevitably in danger of getting gutted. So let's talk about dogs strengths, his weaknesses, and how to utilize them.

You need at least one ascension of punch capacity (so you can regenerate punch while punching, and one of the ascensions at least for punch regenerates .5 sec+ of shield, from there skill damage while holding shield and general punch damage are good. Or max shield after dropping shield buff is good for defensive. For the scrolls you want to maximize skill damage and secondary skills capacity. Ao Bai is a low speed character so a scroll like "Heavy Shield" would do you good. Other scrolls that could help are "Flesh and Bones" combined with "Sanguine relic" and also Veteran. Ao Bai has a large hp pool and a small shield. Get the ascension that makes your weapon hits on blossom'd targets deal AoE damage and you're done. You win the game. You can get this build online as early as Act 1. This build requires the least amount of components out of any character build and it's the strongest possible. You auto-target everything and can shoot through walls.IMO Ao Bai is super versatile. 2 fast firing weapons is ok, Atomic Bomb is insane, Explosive build with dual Mortars is the most fun i've had all game. No matter what ascensions / scrolls the game throws at you, you're fine. Most inconsistent for me is Li, it's just that i barely ever get Meteor or Spirit Flame Ascensions, always a super weird mix.
