I chose a 5"XD Tacticle over a Glock for the fallowing reasons: #1-Grip safety on XD, and XD is overall a safer gun by design than a Glock in terms of preventing accidental DGs caused by clothing entering into the trigger gaurd. #2-Hands down to ME the XD felt like it "melted" into my hand compaired to the Glock.More IMO, not because of the weight difference, but because of the higher bore axis of the XD. A higher bore axis creates more flip. Another reason why I prefer glocks over XD's. I don't own an XDSC, but between my 19 and XD9 service, the XD has more muzzle flip. Also just a guess, but I bet the XDSC and the 19 are pretty close in weight.A design can always be improved on.
