As for your question, best way to control a helicopter is 2 things imo, what are you used to start with that, and how interested in flying helicopters ... Arma 3 plus one or two others. May 31, 2013 · BF3 helicopter controls. After some tweaking, I got my helicopter ALMOST BF3 perfected. Here's what I did: I left "left turn" and "right turn" empty because it just seems to bank my helicopter, which Cyclic Left and Right already does, so when you have them keybound, your chopper banks way too much. Go into controls. In keyboard, select the "Show" drop-down menu. Go to helicopter movement. Double click Cyclic Forward/Backward. Delete old binding, drag+drop from the desired mouse command from the menu. Do this for Plane Movement also, but for Nose Up/Down. Hope that helps guys.

Cyclic is your pitch and roll, and pedals control yaw.. I believe "turn" is a combination of these synchronized to make the controls a bit easier, I dont have it mapped so cannot say for certain.
