I have a John Deere 318 lawn mower tractor with a Onan P218G engine. Runs on one cylinder only. Good spark and compression. One cylinder runs at 287 the other runs at 100. Checked plugs and wires. Pulled spark plug wire off coil, when running one makes no difference the other one quits. Any ideas?318 p218 no spark during crank. I picked up a low hour (401) 318. It does not have spark during crank, but as you let the key spring back to run it will fire. If you play with it, it will eventually catch and run indefinitely.
