mamallama29. • 1 mo. ago. Yes, indeed it is an issue. I've owned three Lenovo Ideapad 15" laptops. The second one took a lot of abuse falling off my bed and later slipping out of my car. This caused the plastic hinge cover to dislodge, and it wasn't long before the hinge disconnected from the screen.Compaq (!), Asus, Apple, HP, Lenovo, Microsoft, and then some additional brands I've used via work. I've never had hinge issues on either the traditional or the 2-in-1 designs. I think it's a mixture of more complaining and being rough with the device. Everything has some base rate of failure but hinges don't really fuss me.
