Character development on the Garleans was poor IMO too, with no indication as to how much of the ♥♥♥♥♥ actually live other than Jullus and his crew, it's also incredible how so much bloodlust over the years has just been swept under the carpet, I'm hoping patches 6.1 and above address the blatant racism between Garleans and Eorzeans.

Garlean Anthem (The Measure of Our Reach) | Final Fantasy XIV #ffxiv ...Garleans have as much aether as any other individual on the Source likely, being a building block of life after all. It's just that they can't manipulate it in any manner. The game tells us that the planet of Etheirys is abundant with aether, but the outside space of the universe is mostly comprised of dynamis.

The lore is vague, citing, as mentioned, a natural ineptitude. FFXIV has human trafficking, prostitution-slavery, the usage of weapons of mass destruction, racism, people getting cut in half with their torso falling off their legs, people getting transformed into abominations in a visually gruesome manner and excrutiating pain, visual suicide, and much more.Garleans seem so desperate they summoned their own primal, seeing how there is a tempered ala mhigan screaming glory to garlemald. But one angle that might be interesting: What if they were told that the WoL is a primal? They think of Eorzeans as eikon-summoning savages, and the WoL is the champion of Eorzea. ...Garlemald is unsurpassed in the field of magitek, a technology which it exploits with devastating effectiveness in warfare. As for Coerthas, it is definitely a bit of world-building and while the Francel inquisition doesn't tie in directly to the question of our airship (save for getting the Ishgardians on our side), Garuda, or the Garleans, it is setting the stage for the Critically Acclaimed (sorry) Heavensward expansion.
